Power and Love

====================================================

- Raghu

She met him
In the pure morning mist
The sun bright and strong
Unaware of what was in store

The mist cleared
A battle of light and dark uncovered
The forces of the flesh and mind bore
Swords of steel and fire

The lord who comes with the dawn
Promised eternal glory
To quench the thirst
Of the power hungry

He followed them
Into the lord’s territory
He sold his soul
And bought power

A master of power he was
A slave to it he was
His named feared across the lands and oceans
And the mighty bowed before him

She was nothing more
Than a fine thread
Floating on the pieces of what he was
A mere shadow of his true self

She longed for him
But there was no him –
there was just power –
and madness

She made up her mind
She struck a deal
The lord obliged
She sold her soul for her love
